Stephanie Ruhle interviewed Donald Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. She grilled her without allowing her to spin without pushback.
Ruhle forced Conway to admit that voter fraud is not really an issue in American elections. But Ruhle went further. She pointed out that real data proves that touting voter fraud is a fraud on the American people.
When Conway attempted to attack the media, Ruhle challenged her. Ruhle pointed out that Marco Rubio (R-FL) believes the Wikileaks emails should not be indulged as it is a danger to our Democracy. Rubio indirectly challenged Trump's use of them in the campaign.
Ruhle embarrassed Conway as she admonished her for her tacit support for Trump's attacks on women. Everytime Conway attempted to obfuscate reality; Ruhle was mostly on point for correcting the record.
In one exchange Stephanie Ruhle got visibly upset. Conway implied that several billionaires were successful while disregarding Hillary Clinton's achievements as successes. It was evident it touched a nerve as women have had to work much harder and yet receive minimal recognition.
Ruhle presented the type of journalism that America needs. The media was derelict in their coverage of both the Republican and Democratic primaries. That effectively left us with less than ideal candidates for the most important job in the world.
Recently the media seems to be making up for their failure. They are not quite there yet but it is a necessary improvement that one hopes they continue. Kudos to Ruhle on a very good job with this interview.
Here is the excerpted interview. The full interview is pretty long given the verbiage Kellyanne Conway is known for.
