Oh, these poor, deluded fools. They are redefining the meaning of “going all in”. If only The Backstreet Boys had this kind of brand loyalty, they’d still be putting out hit CD’s. The Cheeto Prophet is no longer a candidate, he’s a cult leader, and his believers are “blinded by the light”.
Dana Milbank has a great ARTICLE in The Washington Post today. He is researching on the possible start of a “Civil War” if Trump loses the election, and if that loss could start it. In doing so, he’s been doing the unpleasant task of actually talking to these people. And in doing so, he ended talking to a real doozy. A retired woman handing out fliers in front of a Trump rally in Colorado. Let’s see what she had to say, and then we’ll discuss;
Ann Macomber, a Christian, retired teacher and Trump volunteer handing out fliers saying “Hillary Clinton is coming for your guns,” told me the voting system in Colorado has been “infiltrated”: dead people voting, voters with bogus addresses, precincts that report more votes than registered voters. “It’s happening. It’s sad,” Macomber said. “If we lose this election, we can’t trust anything in America anymore. We’re not sovereign.”
*Siiiiighhhh* Where do you even start with something like this? I can only assume she is an otherwise intelligent woman, she was a teacher. How can she be so clueless about this?
First of all, exactly how do you “infiltrate” a voting system? I grew up in Chicago, where “politics” is an eight letter version of “fraud”. Fraud does not infiltrate a system, it’s done at the local level, voter intimidation, falsifying voter registrations, handing out $20’s a block away from the polling place. In Chicago bars and liquor stores were closed on election day. Precinct captains used to drive around in vans, picking up the homeless they had registered, taking them to vote, and then giving them a bottle of cheap wine when he dropped them back off again.
Second, just how in the world did Ms. Macomber manage to get this “insider information”? Voter registration lists may be public records, but votes are not “officially” tallied, and are not released until the polls close on election night, and actual results on who showed up to vote, or mailed their ballots in are not released before that. How in the hell does she know that the dead are voting? How does she know of precincts tallying more votes than there are registered voters? No precincts have reported any votes yet, and won’t until November 8th after the polls close! This is purely delusional thinking.
This is why this is so dangerous. There is already growing worry of possible physical violence in the days following the election if Trump loses, no matter how wide the margin is. Personally, I am terrified of the days following the election, because of the hatred that Mein Furor has generated, and the violence he has personally inspired and enticed. This could spiral out of control quickly.
In 2011, the Vancouver Canucks lost the Stanley Cup Finals in Vancouver in overtime. Overnight there was widespread rioting and looting in downtown Vancouver. It wasn’t Canuck fans, most of them got into their cars in the parking lots and went home to cry in their beers. It was hooligans, using the loss as an excuse for destruction and looting. Police made multiple arrests, showing they had used social media to set up “meeting points” to collect in to go on a rampage. The next morning real Canuck fans showed up in their jerseys with brooms and shovels to help clean up the glass and mess.
The civil unrest in Ferguson was another example. As the violence escalated, community activists and organizers complained bitterly about “outside agitators” coming in to stir violence in what the community wanted to be peaceful protests. These idjits didn’t care about Michael Brown of “the cause”, they wanted to cause mayhem and destruction, for their own sick amusement. Police and activists at other protest sites have also worried about outside troublemakers disrupting peaceful protests as well.
This is the true danger we face in the days following the election. We live in a world of instant digital communications. Trump has unchained and unleashed the hounds of hell in the alt-right, and they’re hungry. A bunch of pissed off, disappointed Trump supporters could be marching around peacefully, waving signs and yelling, and within an hour or two be thoroughly infiltrated by a bunch of nihilistic morons set on confrontation and bloodshed. In my humble opinion, if you’re not scared, you should be!
