The New York Times has a list of endorsements in New York and New Jersey races, and one of their picks is Fordham Law Professor Zephyr Teachout. Her Republican opponent is a long-time figure in New York politics: John Faso. Teachout gets the nod over Faso for the House seat for NY’s 19th Congressional District. As the Times notes, she:
...is an expert on political corruption and the corrosive influence of money in politics. She gained national attention as a political novice for her surprisingly potent bid to unseat Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the 2014 Democratic primary. Her campaign is focused on fighting corporate monopolies and dirty money, protecting the environment and cutting red tape for small businesses and farms. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a kindred spirit, has endorsed her.

And...
Ms. Teachout is the better candidate for this era of gridlock and disillusionment. She promises to be the strong voice for change in Washington that so many angry voters are demanding.
Teachout has been targeted by a determined GOP effort to stop her; heavy media buys have been running a number of attack ads against her. The race is close, though Teachout appears to be trending upward. I posted a diary about the contest yesterday which has some additional information, including links to two debates between Teachout and Faso.
If you want to show Teachout some support, her campaign website is here. There are several ways to volunteer for her campaign.
Remember the battle cry “More Democrats — Better Democrats!” Teachout qualifies on both counts.
