Before you even read this diary, watch this if you haven’t already seen it.

I asked that you watch it first, and a couple of times won’t hurt, because the response of the passengers is much more important that what this guy said and every time I watched it, I saw more.
Some might wish that everyone on the plane stand up and rail on this guy. But somehow, their depressed silence spoke even more. Also, their unwillingness to engage with him. I wouldn’t have either. I’d just have let him stand up their and make an ass of himself, and then see his face plastered all over the internet for being such an ass. Which is happening.
This incident is just one of many of course. But what I see right now, everywhere, is a very tired yet still watchful wariness. In my travels since this election, I see people talking in code. I see it as I have gone about my daily life since the election. I see it particularly in the retail sector.
Where, I see many a shop keeper and check out person…a small comment, a roll of the eye in response. Of course people who are working for someone are talking in code. They KNOW they’re in trouble if they get caught talking politics at the check out, or as they show you to your fitting room. Still, they ARE doing it, talking in code. I have many examples, but I’ll go with one.
Today I was in line at the dollar store. Someone asked about if there was tax on something. It was food. Guy running the register said, “not taxed so far…but y’know, we got trouble now.” It was amazing what happened in that long line. We all looked at each other and nodded. No one made an ass of themselves, and stood up clapping and proclaiming for either candidate. But it was a loooooong line of worried furrowed brows, and just sort of a tingle/bond that went through all of us.
It’s out there folks, it really is.
Back to that Delta flight. I CANNOT imagine anyone getting away with what this guy got away with and not being hauled off the plane. For those who didn’t take my advice and watch the video, let me clue you into the fact that he spoke of “all you Hillary bitches.”
Delta has responded with “apologies.” There is NO freaking apology that could equal that guy being hauled off that plane. Which he should have been. I dunno, really hard to imagine a progressive getting up there in a plane aisle and yelling about “all you deplorables.” But, I guess it could happen. But, it hasn’t. And in either case, that person should be removed from the plane, immediately. That person should be inconvenienced to no end.
But that didn’t happen on that Delta flight. I suggest you all right them and tell them what you think about that. It WILL matter. This thing has gone very viral, and you can bet by now they’re already regretting their lack of action. Make them regret it more.
Still, there IS a rumbling dissent going on out there. Kind of like the shudder before a real earth quake. It is happening my friends, and I suggest we keep on making it happen
