If the president elect is making the claim that there are “millions” of fraudulent ballots in play, that sounds to me like prima facie justification for a national audit. Forget how close states are, recount them all and audit all of the voting machines.
1) I do not support election fraud whether it happens on turf favorable to politicians I like or not. If someone is padding the vote in California for Clinton, they belong in jail. Fullstop.
2) Allowing election shenanigans ANYWHERE is un-american.
3) There are close elections down ticket in places as blood-red as Alabama. Election fraud can be just as problematic for state chamber seats and county commissioners as it is at the national level. If someone gives into temptation and pads in a few hundred votes to swing a county or local district, that still undermines democracy. Doing that enough can mess with numbers at the national level.
On a partisan note, there are republican administrations in a majority of states. If there is a pattern of election fraud, odds are good that those republican administrations will feel the temptation to support their own incumbents.
Fuck some fraudsters. Audit it all.
