would of..... could of...... should of....…
40/70/90 was my mantra All summer... and going forward. That's what we need to win. How did Hillz do?
What if....…
Lets do some math..…
134,265,273 is the total vote ..... as of last Sunday.
70 pct of the electorate was white.... or 93,985691...... she won 37 pct or 34,747,705
If she won 39 percent of the same total...... 36,654,419 for a 1,906714 difference
Hmmmm....... add that to her 2.2 million vote lead now, and we're at 4 million plus... and not talking about an electoral college loss.
12.5 percent of voters were Black or 16,783,159... she won 88 pct or 14,769,189
If she matched Obama's 2012 pct of 93 pct well.......... 15,608,338 for a 839,149 difference....
Ruh roh.... every vote counts.....
Finally Hispanics made up 11pct of the vote or 14,769,180 she won 65 pct or..... 9,599,967
SHE SHOULD OF EXCEEDED Barack's 2012 mark of 71 pct but if she matched: 10,486118 for a 886,151 difference.
If you add up the differences in percentages between the big three from 2012 to 2016... you have a GRAND TOTAL of 3,632,014 million votes on the table..... and counting... add that to her 2.2. Million vote lead, and you exceed Obama's 2012 margin...... that's an average of 72,640 votes PER STATE..go look at the blue wall margins we lost by....
The following reactions are appropriate:
the piper is on the phone…. he wants his money.
Clinton's third-party headache
Polls show younger voters are taking a long look at the Libertarian and Green Party nominees this year. That could be a big problem for Hillary Clinton in a close race against Donald Trump.
www.politico.com/... When you go from about a million and a half third party votes in 2012 to nearly six million and Data showed it hurt our side.... It mattered.
Folks didn't believe fat meat was greasy..…
Historically, voter turnout is highest during presidential elections, even though federal elections tend to impact the average person less than local elections. It’s irrational.
But god forbid you vote for a third party candidate, the punching bag du jour in the media over the last week. John Oliver took it on. My colleague Charles Dunst did as well. The basic formulation, fallacious at its core (more on this later) is a vote for a third party candidate is a vote for Trump.
What’s more, it’s white privilege. How nice it must be, the theory goes, to be so unaffected by policy that you can vote for a candidate who has no chance of winning. You aren’t affected by the racism, the bigotry, and the sexism (if you’re a white male). And that part is true.
But if you vote for Gary Johnson, you don’t also cast a ballot for Trump. That’s literally not how it works. Trump needs more votes than Clinton. Voting for Johnson means one less vote for Clinton, but it’s also means one less vote for Trump. www.pastemagazine.com/...
SHHH!! Trump won less votes.... but won the election.... Like Bush did 16 yrs ago.
don't tell anyone
I encourage her and others to be brave... tough sledding ahead for undocumented immigrants. El Mito warned about how Hispanics assimilate and didn't think TRUMP and his rhetoric applied to them.65-29 vs 71-27 tells PART Of the tale... the gutting of the voting rights act hurt.
Black folks...... Everything he said was on the ballot..... and we fell short. 88 percent is enough to win, but we wrongfully (at least I did) thought a Caucasian woman would run better than an African-American man among her own race. Her embrace of him figuratively and literally at the dnc was instant GOTV for the "altright." We had too much to lose... we had to leave it all on the field, we tried to work through 20 year grudges.... overreached when a police accountability movement gained traction.…
And Jeff Sessions will see to it we pay the price.... His heart and mind hasn't and wlll not change. Someone said you don't change hearts and minds, you change laws.
Black folks..... we had a seat at the table... it's gone. Keep in mind that for all the hard time we gave Sanders, Clinton and O’malley, if you voted for Obama Biden... the author of said crime bill was one heartbeat away from the presidency.... for eight years. Barack trusted Joe, and still worked on reforming criminal justice. Barack trusted Hillary.... we didn't trust her to carry on Barack's work. We shouldn't have to do the heavy lifting to power the party to victory, but we bear some responsibility too.
Mvp in a losing cause...…
