Hey, it’s December 15. Wasn’t something supposed to be happening today? What was that? Oh, right:
But on December 12, Trump let us know that instead, he’d be holding a press conference “in the near future“—“Busy times!” He dedicated two tweets to outlining the fig leaf that will be covering his conflicts of interest, then met with Kanye West. And went on a victory tour. And tweeted an angry response to a bad restaurant review.
The man has plenty of time to do what he wants, is the point. But he hasn’t held a press conference since July, and December 15 was supposed to be the day, but it’s not happening. Instead, his big press conference will happen in … early January. Yeah, for sure this time. Although according to Trump, there’s really no need to discuss how his business arrangements have him positioned for payoff:
Consider the groundwork laid for Trump refusing to talk about his rampant conflicts of interest whenever he does get around to having a press conference.
