Here in metro Detroit this winter feels like winter, unlike a year ago. The first snowstorm we had was a major one, with my area getting 11 inches. No smaller storms before it hit.. just BOOM. Now we’re in the midst of a cold snap… highs in the double digits… barely, lows (not factoring in wind chill which drags it down even much much lower) are forecast in the single digits.
Topping it off, tomorrow and Saturday were supposed to have yet another storm… only 7 inches or so this time.
Weather like this is horrible for those of us that are elderly, or with disabilities. I know when I go out I walk like a 300 year old managing to avoid ice and wind when I can. If you have to go out, be careful. Dress in layers. If you have to do snow removal.. be careful. Even people who think that they are in good health end up in trouble without even knowing they were at risk.
We need all of you here… so please, please watch out out there.
