Note: We are not doing any Bernie news tonight because of all the bullshit meta that took place this weekend. Also too, Bernie has a CNN Town Hall at 9 pm EST tonight! Please watch!

Yo, hello! I have been thinking of you all weekend. Hubba hubba!
No, not really. I’ve been thinking about what a total shithole our country has turned into from November 8th until now, and so I need a little pick me up.
Choose drugs, choose sex, choose gambling, choose music, choose politics … Sometimes, my drug of choice is movies because, ya know, why not?
For the most part, I mainly enjoy science fiction, thrillers, blockbusters, and horror movies that are not too awfully graphic. I looked at the new releases recently and, Jesus H. Christ, some of them are scarier than Voldemort! Oy!
The Belko Experiment: classic horror, a truly terrible “Would You Rather”-esque flick that requires the unwilling participants to kill others in the experiment, or risk being killed themselves. Lovely!
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: The honest-to-Buddha comedy relief you need! Also too, Chris Pratt and Baby Groot! BABY GROOT YAY! :P
Spectral: If you have Netflix, I highly recommend this original movie. It has pretty excellent graphics and an interesting, timely storyline. I didn’t see the plot twist coming, which is always a nice surprise, because I can usually smell twitsts from a mile away. Heh.
The Mummy: So I guess Weirdo Scientologist Tom Cruise is still relevant, because he’s in a movie with both Russell Crowe and Courtney B. Vance. And some chick who looks suspiciously like Ivanka Voldemort, wtf?!
War For the Planet of the Apes: I saw the first remake movie (with Mark Wahlburg, or was it James Franco?) and I coulda sworn I saw the second movie, too. SO WHAT THE FUCK DID I MISS AND WHY ARE WE TALKING PLANETARY ARMAGEDDON NOW, WOODY HARRELSON?!
The Boss Baby: Given that ALEC FUCKING BALDWIN did the voice of the Boss Baby, I’ll bet you money this is about a certain, incoming President-Elect. (I mean, fucking seriously! And, even though the baby is redeemable in the movie doesn’t mean that Voldemort is redeemable! For fucks’ sake!)
Hidden Figures: Oh, yes, I HAVE to see this! Anytime I root for the main characters in the preview, then I know I have to see the movie, lol. Apparently, this one came out Friday and I didn’t even know that. So I’m gonna go see it this weekend with my BFF. :) Is there a book that details all this stuff? Because I really wanna read whatever I can get my hands on regarding the basis for this movie.
Fences: Speaking of extremely fine acting, this came out on Christmas Day and, holy shit, I get chills everytime I watch this trailer. Denzel Washington is the best actor of our era, and Viola Davis isn’t too horrible, either. I’m willing to bet I’ll have a reaction similar to the one after I had when I saw Schindler’s List: “Well, that was remarkably good, but I NEVER EVER EVER! want to watch that movie again. Here, let me just weep like a baby for 30 minutes.” This is why I don’t like sad movies — they make me cry, lol.
What movies do you want to see? Please don’t include any other new movie trailers in the comments, because I am intentionally holding some back to post next week. :P Hee hee.
This is going to be a Monday thing, see. Enjoy!
