I did not see this anywhere, but the following is on the WRAL-TV website (Raleigh-Durham TV station):
“The U.S. Supreme Court has stayed a ruling that called for the General Assembly to redraw voting districts by March and hold new elections in the fall because of racial gerrymandering in a number of districts”.
I don’t know if this means no elections at all for 2017, but if so this is very bad news. We have a veto-proof House and Senate, and this election was likely going to eliminate the veto-proof majority in at least one chamber, which would greatly help our new Governor Roy Cooper.
