The Trump White House sent Kellyanne Conway out to do the Sunday shows and demonstrate that the current administration has some shred of basic human decency tucked away somewhere. (Why those shows would have her is an open question; she has unquestionably been the most prolific and shameless liar during Trump's campaign and transition, to a degree that any credible "news" program does more insult to their viewers with her pronouncements then the pronouncements themselves are possibly worth.)
She delivered by dismissing the notion of families being separated by Trump's executive order as being problematic or concerning. At all.
I mean, there are -- those whole idea that they’re being separated and ripped from their families, it’s temporary, and it's just circumstantial in terms of whether you are one of those 300 and some who was already on an aircraft or trying to get on an aircraft, as opposed to the over 3,000 children who will be forevermore separated from the parents who perished on 9/11.
There you go. We may be separating children and adults, or keeping sons and daughters from visiting their sick parents, and so forth. But it's only "temporary", says Conway—so why would you even complain. Temporarily return them to the places they were fleeing. It will be fine.
Also, again: The nations targeted by Trump had no hand in 9/11. The nations whose citizens did were exempted from his ban. Kellyanne Conway remains, as always, a mean and pathetic figure working for a mean and pathetic man.
