From the New York Daily News :
Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn received about $40,000 for his appearance at a 2015 party for the Russian government-funded TV channel RT — one of a handful of visits to Moscow that the disgraced ex-Trump aide is under scrutiny for.
Flynn was paid the sum for appearing at RT's 10th anniversary celebration in 2015, The New Yorker reported in a far-reaching profile of Flynn published Monday.
Last week, the Pentagon said it had no record that Flynn had ever received authorization to accept any money for the visit, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The dinner — at which Flynn was seated at the same table as Russian President Vladimir Putin — came only two years after Flynn had traveled to Moscow to speak to a group of Russian intelligence offers — a trip that former CIA chief of Russia operations told the magazine "seemed at best quaint and naive."
So this was the same dinner that Jill Stein was also at — I wonder how much she was paid to carry Putin’s water. Throughout the campaign Stein consistently said that Hillary was more dangerous than Trump.
Flynn joined the Trump campaign soon after his Russian pay off, choosing to side with Trump over a bunch of other GOP candidates — whom his consulting group was also advising. I wonder what made Flynn choose Trump when he essentially could have joined any other GOP campaign? Was he pushed in that direction by Putin?
Flynn is the tip of the iceberg. The question that the hasn’t been asked yet is — why wasn’t Michael Flynn vetted? If he was vetted by Trump, did the meeting with Putin and his prior meeting with Russian Intelligence types show up on that background check? And if it did show up on that background check — which it almost certainly did — why did Trump just lie to the American public again just days ago when he denied contact with the Russians?
