We live in interesting times. That's an understatement after the Twitter tirade heard ‘round the world this past Saturday. If you've been trapped under a heavy piece of furniture or out camping in the wild, you may have missed some of the craziest tweets yet from Herr Twittler. In short, he accused former President Obama of illegally wire tapping phones in Trump Tower. Not based on any credible intelligence …. but because he saw it in a Breitbart piece! Since then, staffers have been trying to shore up the damage without angering Trump more.
Here is an interesting WaPo piece on how all this is derailing the administration’s agenda:
Here's a bit from the piece:
Trump enters week seven of his presidency the same as the six before it: enmeshed in controversy while struggling to make good on his campaign promises. At a time when the White House had sought to ride the momentum from Trump’s speech to Congress and begin advancing its agenda on Capitol Hill, the administration finds itself beset yet again by disorder and suspicion.
Things seem to be moving fast regarding Trump’s and associates’ ties to Russia during and after the election. Like I said, interesting times.
