Buffalo School Board member Carl Paladino, a former candidate for governor of New York and a yuge Donald Trump supporter, can’t stop himself from sending out racist emails and memes. The kind your loudmouthed, racist, Fox News-loving uncle (who is about to lose his health care) posts on Facebook. Many Buffalo residents were calling for his resignation in December after he sent these public comments to Artvoice, a weekly Buffalo newspaper who asked him to fill out a survey:
Asked what he wanted to see “go away in 2017,” Mr. Paladino answered, Michelle Obama, “I’d like her to return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortably in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla.”
He also wrote that he hoped President Obama would die of mad cow disease. His comments were published with those of three dozen other survey respondents.
His defense was he meant to be a private racist, not a public one:
Mr. Paladino added: “I did not mean to send those answers to Artvoice. Not that it makes any difference because what I wrote was inappropriate under any circumstance. I filled out the survey to send to a couple friends and forwarded it to them not realizing that I didn’t hit ‘forward’ I hit ‘reply.' All men make mistakes.”
Well, Paladino is back at it. In an email sent out on Monday, he shared a new meme, noting the month after February, Black History Month, is ...
It is so strange how every single racist in the country seems to be attracted to Donald Trump, no? Carl Paladino and the like feel emboldened to share these hilarious racist uncle jokes with his entire email list. No more hiding in the shadows for these guys. They are back out front, making America great again. Buffalo residents, maybe it’s time to revisit that conversation about Paladino resigning again. You think?
