“There’s a bomb in the trunk. This is a test,”said Sean Keoughan, 29, of Roanoke, Virginia, to the Secret Service on Saturday. Keoughan was arrested late Saturday night after driving up to a White House checkpoint in a stolen Chevrolet Impala rental car. He got out of the car and told Secret Service officers that he had an asteroid in a bag in the trunk of his car, but that Donald Trump had told him telepathically to lie and say that the asteroid was a bomb, reports Reuter's.
________
Keoughan elaborated for officers that he had communicated with Trump telepathically, and that at that time Trump instructed Keoughan to lie about the asteroid being a bomb. Keoughan claimed that he knew a telepathic process that enabled him to communicate with high-level officials, including the Secret Service and Delta Force, an elite Army unit, according to a Secret Service affidavit.
________
Keoughan told officers who handcuffed and arrested him that he had received psychiatric care in the past and had used “every drug.” He said that he had twice attempted suicide, once through a heroin overdose.
________
Keoghan was charged with threatening and conveying false information about the use of an explosive. He made an initial appearance Monday in U.S. District Court. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
________
This is the third breach of security on or near the White House grounds since the White House's current occupant moved in January 20th. On March 10th, a California man, 26-year-old Jonathan Tran, of Milpitas, was arrested for climbing over White House barriers. He wandered the grounds for 16 minutes before he was found, said the Secret Service.
