Happy Monday to all! It was a nice weekend celebrating the victory of the defeat of the AHCA. Now it’s time to focus attention on making sure the ACA is not weakened through regulation changes. That is surely in the game plan for the GOP. Nothing would make them happier than to cause the demise of the ACA so they can then sweep in with their inferior plan …. which is actually a tax plan disguised as a health care plan. Call your Reps! We need to stay ahead of them of this.
Now onto the Trump Campaign Russia connections. After the behavior of Rep Nunes last week, there is definitely a need for an independent, bi-partisan commission to investigate this. It is apparent that Rep Nunes, as a former member of the Trump transition team, is not an unbiased party when it comes to this investigation.
And finally …. Neil Gorsuch. Those of you with Dem Senators need to call them. First, they should demand that there be no vote until the Russia investigation is compete. If the vote is scheduled, they need to filibuster. Dare the GOP to blow up the filibuster …. I feel that they will not as they recognize that they will be in the minority someday. I believe the Dems need to fight tooth and nail and not negotiate with the GOPers here, they never honor their promises as we saw many times during Obama’s administration.
So my diary is a bit thin on content as I was hooked on basketball all weekend. My alma mater, Florida, was just eliminated in the tourney, so I have no excuse to ignore the news anymore.
Some tweets now…
This is the very definition of “softball interview”:
Wow …crazy stuff:
Fun read from Charlie Pierce:
Don’t forget the SCOTUS appointment. There should not be a lifetime appointment made by a president who is under FBI investigation.
SO let’s chat and enjoy the day!
