This is going to be a sparse diary, as at this point I’ve had a head cold for the last 4 days, and my brains appear to have been replaced with dense cotton. On the plus side, it’s only my head/sinuses that appear to be affected; no fever, no aches, no cough (knocks on wood). On the minus side, it’s hard to breathe through my nose, which makes sleeping at night with my CPAP nose mask a … challenging situation.
I’ve been loading up on Vitamin D, a multi-vitamin, Airborne, tea, etc. in addition to OTC meds. And I think it’s helping; as of Tuesday when I write this, it feels like the gunk in my head is starting to loosen up finally.
I stayed home from work today; naps are definitely medicinal. I hope to be around when this posts tomorrow evening, but my energy levels haven’t been as high as normal while I’m sick, so it’s not a guarantee. So play nicely, talk amongst yourselves, and with luck, I’ll join you.
Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with readers of Daily Kos who aren’t throwing pies at one another. Drop by and tell us about your weather, your garden, or what you cooked for supper. Newcomers may notice that many who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but we welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
As always, this is an open thread, and nothing is off topic. What do you want to kibitz about tonight?
