The latest Washington Post story describing a possible direct link between the Trump campaign and Vladimir Putin provokes the need to reexamine the DeVos family.
As the Washington Post notes, Erik Prince, the Blackwater founder responsible for this secret meeting in Seychelles, is Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’s brother. The story gets more interesting when you throw in that Dick DeVos, Betsy DeVos's husband, is a member of the board of directors, major donor, and honorary trustee for Spectrum Health, the healthcare company that was mysteriously included in secret and secure computer communications between the Trump campaign and Russian bank Alfa-Bank. Oh, and “coincidentally” the specific Spectrum Health computer communicating with this secure server was located in the DeVos town of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
All of this makes this overlooked Kos journal from November of last year all the more interesting today. The entire DeVos family is deeply involved in the story, with many ties to conservative think tanks and advocacy groups and family members (Maria DeVos) seated as current trustees for Spectrum Health and other organizations implicated in the Russian scandal.
