The Real Deal, New York Real Estate News -- November 12, 2013
A replica of Bayrock/Sapir’s Trump Soho hotel may be Moscow’s first big new hotel in ten years.
Alex Sapir and Rotem Rosen of the Sapir Organization, co-developers on the Soho hotel at 246 Spring Street, met with Russian developer Aras Agalarov and Donald Trump over the weekend to discuss plans for the new project — Trump’s first in Russia.
“The Russian market is attracted to me,” Trump told Real Estate Weekly. “I have a great relationship with many Russians, and almost all of the oligarchs were in the room.”

Hotel trio aims to bring Manhattan to Moscow
by Konrad Putzier, Real Estate Weekly -- November 12, 2013
[...]
Trump told the Real Estate Weekly he is in talks with Agalarov as well as three other groups. “There’s no rush as far as I’m concerned,” he said.
Trump didn’t disclose a height or square footage being discussed, but said that “it has to be a large development, big enough to justify the travel etc.”
Billionaire Agalarov owns Crocus City Hall and has built both the biggest shopping center in Moscow and the largest trade center. He told local reporters he had been talking to the New York developers about forming a joint venture to build in Moscow.
The building would be Trump’s first project in Russia. In neighboring Georgia, he is developing a 47-story residential tower.

Dolly Lenz, a real estate broker in New York, said she sold about 65 units in Trump World Tower, a condominium tower at 845 U.N. Plaza in Manhattan, to Russian buyers looking for real estate investments in the late 1990s. “I had contacts in Moscow looking to invest in the United States,” Lenz said. “’What do you have to recommend?’ They all wanted to meet Donald. They became very friendly.”

Trump's business network reached alleged Russian mobsters
by Oren Dorell , USA TODAY -- March 28, 2017
To expand his real estate developments over the years, Donald Trump, his company and partners repeatedly turned to wealthy Russians and oligarchs from former Soviet republics — several allegedly connected to organized crime, according to a USA TODAY review of court cases, government and legal documents and an interview with a former federal prosecutor.
[...]
Among them:
• A member of the firm that developed the Trump SoHo Hotel in New York is a twice-convicted felon who spent a year in prison for stabbing a man and later scouted for Trump investments in Russia.
[...]
• A former mayor from Kazakhstan was accused in a federal lawsuit filed in Los Angeles in 2014 of hiding millions of dollars looted from his city, some of which was spent on three Trump SoHo units.
[...]
Yet in 2013, after Trump addressed potential investors in Moscow, he bragged to Real Estate Weekly about his access to Russia's rich and powerful. “I have a great relationship with many Russians, and almost all of the oligarchs were in the room,” Trump said, referring to Russians who made fortunes when former Soviet state enterprises were sold to private investors.

There's a long history between Trump's business interests and Russian interests

At least 10 wealthy former Soviet businessmen — who are allegedly tied to criminal organizations — have been linked to Trump and his companies. Some of them include: a member of the the firm that developed Trump SoHo Hotel in New York — a twice convicted felon; an investor in the SoHo project who was accused of being involved with a $55 million money laundering scheme by Belgian authorities in 2011; and three owners of Trump condos in Florida and Manhattan who were indicted on their belonging to a Russian-American organized crime group and working for a major international crime boss in Russia.

Trump’s Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, had money laundering problems when it was fined $10 million in 2015 for not reporting suspicious transactions. “The Trump Organization admitted that it failed to implement and maintain an effective (anti-money laundering) program; failed to report suspicious transactions; failed to properly file required currency transaction reports; and failed to keep appropriate records as required by (the Bank Secrecy Act),” U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network said in a statement, according to USA Today.

So HOW MANY Lies is that, covered-up by Trump's once-audacious claim:
"I have no dealings with Russia, I have no loans from Russia."
—
Sadly it was ENOUGH ... to get him elected. Who says "Cheaters Never Prosper" ...
...
And if their latest M.O. is any indication, the habitual lying to the American People won't be ending anytime soon.
Still calling it a "Blind Trust" eh? … anyone, anyone?
