I don’t know about you but I didn’t sleep well last night and am unsettled today.
The attack on Syria did nothing for a restful night or a peaceful day — I am sure I am not alone in this feeling.
Plus, Portland is having stormy weather — with big gusts of wind up to 50mph. Large trees in rain-soaked soil are toppling, lights are flickering, our backyard gate broke and fell over in the wind. Not restful! Neighborhoods not far from us have been losing power and we could be next. If I am not around when this posts, you will know why.
So….I am in the mood for a) good news, no matter how small and b) clearing off the table and playing a board game (can be done by candlelight if it comes to that). This is what I am considering bringing to the table tonight (suits my mood):
Tell me something good in the comments below. And as always, tell us about your day, your weekend plans, your menus! This is an open thread.
For those who are into boardgames and who want info on “Euphoria”, here is a video review.
Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with readers of Daily Kos who aren’t throwing pies at one another. Drop by and tell us about your weather, your garden, or what you cooked for supper. Newcomers may notice that many who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but we welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well. |
