I don't know about the the rest of you, but I’m all trumped out. I spent a good month after the election actively avoiding news, and I only dip my toe in here and there on occasion. I just have to preserve what’s left of my sanity, you know?
But when I do check the news, it’s all the same. Trump, Russia, Syria, Comey, Trump, Russia, deportations, Trump, Russia, OMG I can’t believe I voted for this guy, and coming up next on the news at 5, another tale about the sad sack who voted for Trump but didn’t expect THIS.
Sigh.
So tonight, we’ll focus on other news.
Right after a word from our sponsors who are most certainly getting CNN breaking news alerts as I type:

First, something adorable:
It was cold and rainy, when Moonpie first arrived at Rocky Ridge Refuge, a nonprofit sanctuary in northern Arkansas.
The miniature cow had just been purchased at auction, in order to spare her any bad fate. She was very young, and "not acclimated to outside yet," the sanctuary's founder Janice Wolf explained to TODAY in an email. "So I brought her inside."
Moonpie arrived about a month and a half ago. Wolf's two dozen rescue dogs immediately took her under their collective wing.
A pair of bull terriers, Baby Cadbury and Spackle, who is deaf, are especially taken with their new friend.
They "claimed Moonpie right off and are never far from her side," Wolf said. "They won't let the others have too much time with her! The others sneak in kisses."

Then there's this big news from a couple of days ago that didn't get a lot of attention, probably because trump is only mentioned a few times in the stories about it:
In a significant victory for gay rights, a federal appeals court in Chicago ruled Tuesday that the 1964 Civil Rights Act protects gay workers from job discrimination, expanding workplace protections in the landmark law to include sexual orientation.
….
In the decision on Tuesday, the judges ruled by an 8-to-3 vote that the civil rights law, which already prohibits discrimination on a variety of factors, also includes protections based on sexual orientation. They concluded that such discrimination was no different from a form of sex discrimination, which the law prohibits. Five of the eight judges in the majority were appointed by Republican presidents.
No one seems to think it will be appealed. That may change, of course, but for now the Civil Rights Act extends to gays and lesbians, and that’s a BFD.
For your WTF?! moment of the day:
Britney Spears Is Causing Big Changes In Israeli Politics
So Israel's Labor Party had a primary election scheduled July 3. They are postponing it by a day out of fear of traffic. Also, reportedly, security guards were overcommitted. This is because Britney Spears is playing a concert in Tel Aviv.
And for your “this is why I never get on facebook” reminder:
This is the single dumbest thing I’ve seen on facebook all year long, and that is REALLY saying something.
Now, on to tops!
There were no nominations for Top Comments tonight. :-(
When I am hosting for the night I normally try to find at least one or two to fill the void, but I started this post a bit too late tonight to do that.
Remember to send the best comments to us! If it made you laugh or think or believe more people should see it, send it to us so it gets more eyeballs!
