I’d like to introduce Annette Hyde, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for the Virginia House of Delegates, 30th District. Annette wants to help change the House of Delegates, so that it works better for you. She wants to legislate against gerrymandering, so that voting districts are fair and don’t contribute to voter suppression. She believes that healthcare is a right that should not be taken away from anyone. She believes that women’s health should not be subjected to legislation.
Annette will work to expand healthcare for low income individuals by bringing Medicaid expansion to Virginia. She wants to protect public school funding from the voucher system which is advocated by the new Secretary of Education.
She wants to make absentee voting easier. She wants to make your life easier. Help Annette make your life easier by showing up at your County Democratic Caucus and support her there! The dates are: Culpeper, April 15 at 12 PM Culpeper County Democratic Headquarters, 102 N. Main St., Suite 200; Madison, April 20 at 7:30 PM, Chamber of Commerce Building; Orange; April 15 at 10 AM, Orange Community Center, 235 Warren St., Orange. The last time we had a Democrat challenge for this seat was 2013. The seat has been in Republican hands since 1999. Let’s help turn the 30th District blue!
