We can’t do justice to Michael’s international spotlight, but we can feature a few stories about events across the pond. First up, an article from The Telegraph, which includes a polltracker of the upcoming French run-off between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen. The bottom line is that although Macron has dipped in the polls in the past few days, he is still the favorite to win the second round: French presidential election: Polls and odds tracker
As much as we’ve all heard that Le Pen is the French T***p, we thought it would be instructive to include some of her public comments to understand why that comparison has been made.
On Thursday, she continued in that vein, accusing Mr Macron of wanting to wage "lightning war on workers".
"The oligarchy has chosen the camp of the banker Macron and wants to use him to place its men, its networks its politicians," said Ms Le Pen, calling the ex-investment banker "the armed wing of the system".

Calling Nice a "martyred city," she said "I will be the president who wages war on Islamist terrorists", promising to create 50,000 new posts in the French armed forces…
"This election is a referendum for or against France. I call on you to vote for France, not Mr Macron…who will lead to its destruction," she said, accusing him of wanting to "accelerate the immigrant flood".

Please add on-the-scene reports from folks who Marched and/or attended meetups yesterday in the comments. And anything else of a Resistance-y” nature, of course. (All acts of Loving Kindness, of joy and friendship, are part of The Resistance.)
Enjoy the breakfast. Here’s the coffee. Hope someone can scare up a pitcher of juice and/or mimosas.
