Happy May Day all! A new month begins and hopefully, it’s a month closer to the end of Trump’s presidency. Here is a bit of May Day trivia:
- May Day is often used as a civil day of protest.
- Some believe May Day originated from the Roman festival of Floralia, a festival that honored Flora, the goddess of springtime.
- In Medieval England May Day was celebrated with the maypole, a pole made from wood and decorated with streamers which are held by dancers circling the pole.
- In May of 1886, activists in the United States organized a national strike to promote an eight-hour workday.
So that ends the little history lesson of the day. Now on to some Twitter fun:
Apparently Trump has the attention span of a toddler:
No conflict here …. move along, nothing to see!
File this under “pandering press”
Hmmmmm….
Not shocked at all!
Alright folks …. it’s time to chat! Don’t forget to take time out to call your Reps about Trumpcare 3.o … the repeal and replace plan that just won’t die! We must tell them to vote NO!
Enjoy your Monday hangout. I am traveling today so I am not sure I’ll be able to stop in too much, but I’ll try.
