Don’t have time to follow up on this story but maybe someone else is interested.
Ivanka’s high end jewelry company, Madison Ave. Diamonds LLC , tried to stiff the manufacturer of her jewelry, KGK Jewelry LLC, for $2.3m because it was one day late delivering schematics for jewelry. Case was dismissed.
The court case is here: cases.justia.com/…
PR newswire: www.prnewswire.com/…
Madison Ave. also has two tax liens against it: appext20.dos.ny.gov/…
The relationship between Ivanka and her diamond supplier, Moshe Lax and his wife, Shaindy, is intriguing. Reportedly dates back to 2000 but Madison Ave. Diamonds was only registered in 2005.
Interested in source of diamonds etc.
Another oddity is the president of Ivanka Trump Jewelry from 2012 to 2016 was Geoffrey Hess. Hess is a real estate lawyer who served less than two years in Giuliani administration, then became a partner in Giuliani Partners from 2002 to 2012. (Hess’s father was a senior adviser to Mayor Giuliani and also became a partner in Giuliani Partners.)
Why would Ivanka hire Hess who had zero retail experience?
Will post if I find new info.
