The tour of Trump-branded properties continues. After spending his weekends at his private Mar-A-Lago club and his Virginia Trump golf course in the first 100 days, Donald Trump is headed to his private golf club in New Jersey later this week:
President Donald Trump is expected to spend the weekend at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, according to a Federal Aviation Administration notice.
The alert posted Monday morning stated there will be a 30-mile temporary flight restriction in the Morristown and Bedminster airspace from Friday to Sunday. There will be a 10-mile radius where no aircraft can fly, affecting airports in Somerset and Hunterdon counties, including Somerset Airport in Bedminster and Solberg Airport in Readington Township.
The trip also marks one of the few times Donald Trump will travel north of the Mason-Dixon line. Before he hits the golf course (again), he’ll make a stop in New York City, his first trip there since the inauguration. In an interview with Fox News (who else), he claims he hasn’t been back to visit because of the expense it will add to the city’s budget. It’s already costing taxpayers roughly $150,000 per day to guard Melania and Barron Trump at Trump Tower. How will New Yorkers respond to Trump’s visit? We’ll find out on May 4th!
