May 5th is Children’s Day, formerly Boys Day, in Japan. This is a wonderful tradition we were exposed to in our time in Hawaii. Children’s Day, or Kodomo no Hi, is a national holiday intended to celebrate children’s unique personalities, as well as their collective happiness.
In honor of Children’s Day, let’s explore the unique personalities of critter children.
Some are good listeners.
Some are good talkers.
Some are studious.
Some are fastidious.
Some are prone to making a mess.
Some are working on developing confidence.
Some are destined to be in the movie business.
Some are mischievous.
Some are athletic.
Some are a tad clumsy.
Some are very determined.
Some are prone to exaggeration.
Some are very curious.
Some are misunderstood.
Some like to fish.
Some think you should be very careful about fishing.
Some are just learning about politics.
Some are advanced in their political knowledge.
Some give a hoot.
Some do not give a hoot.
Some often butt heads with others.
Some have a smile for everyone they meet.
Some may grow up to lead one of the finest internet communities around.
