Today 217 House Republicans are celebrating their vote for the Affordable Health Care Act, which sentences millions of Americans to death as they lose coverage. In response to the vote (and the GOP’s surreal celebration) Twitter users started using #IAmAPreExistingCondition, which quickly rose in popularity and become one of the site’s top trending topics.
Many Twitter users shared some of the most intimate details of their lives to show just how many Americans are vulnerable if insurance companies are, once again, allowed to deny coverage—or put them in prohibitively expensive high-risk pools—to people with pre-existing conditions.
