Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with readers of Daily Kos who aren’t throwing pies at one another.
Drop by and tell us about your weather, your garden, or what you cooked for supper. Newcomers may notice that many who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but we welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.

Do you attend Indivisible/Resist events locally?
It has become ridiculously easy to find out where and when events are happening near you, events which don’t require you take time off work or travel to another state or even make plans in advance of more than three days.
Facebook Indivisible Groups — we are organizing and planning online and in the real world more and more often
The Indivisible Team online at www.IndivisibleGuide.com has tools to help you find and register for the next local event near you, based on zip code.
The wider Resistance, made up of groups of five to ten in towns and cities from coast to coast with an affiliated non-profit or not for profit organization, all the way up Represent.US which is made up of a lot of former Sanders supporters and had thousands of members, have FB groups and Twitter accounts and others on SnapChat and Instagram — everywhere people congregate on social media, there is an Indivisible and/or Resistance effort ongoing.
So if you have never joined a movement before, never Marched or protested or if you haven’t done it in decades, or if your last event was last week?
Tell me about it
- How you communicate with other members of your group.
- How many people are in your group.
- What (if any) social media do you use to amplify your message.
- What types of actions have you taken part in.
- What issue is your basic issue
- Do you have an identity politics issue
- Are a leader in your group
Please note John Oliver’s call to the Resistance on Net Neutrality
It’s a redoux of his opening episode a couple of years back in which he exhorts The People to make their wishes known to the federal government and the FCC Chair in particular, when it comes to the issue of Net Neutrality — and he offers up a shortcut to the inevitable click, click, click, click, click… of a Federal Agency offering The People the opportunity to speak their minds on some coming regulatory action (or lack thereof).
FYI: He crashed the FCC website in less than an hour on Sunday evening, I know, I tried to log in to www.GoFCCyourself.com after I got done watching his show last night… and it was ALREADY down and not working!
Help keep it that way and add your comment on why Net Neutrality is important to you.
How was YOUR Weekend?
