Back in February, news began circulating that the hate-filled “deputy assistant” to unpopular President Trump was exactly as hate-filled as we all imagined. Reports appeared showing that Sebastian Gorka went about showing and boasting allegiance to an old Turkish order vitézi rend—a crew of antisemites that are listed as one of the Nazi collaborators in World War II, by the United States State Department. Subsequently, Gorka hemmed and hawed, giving one terrible excuse after the other as to his relationship to the anti-Semitic Turkish order, and as the heat turned up on Gorka he found himself flying off the handle, showing himself to be the dumb and incompetent hate-filled dick we all suspected he was. Finally, it was announced that Breitbart’s former “counter-terrorism expert” had failed to pass the lowest level of security clearances in the White House—and this is the White House where disgraced General Michael Flynn was National Security Adviser for something like 45 minutes. Now it’s being reported by The Daily Beast that Donald Trump himself, along with fellow anti-Semite Steve Bannon, have been able to stop Gorka’s exodus from the White House.
After news emerged last week that the Trump administration was setting the stage to move the British-born national security aide out of the White House, President Donald Trump and his chief strategist Stephen Bannon “personally intervened” to put a halt to Gorka’s White House eviction, two senior administration sources said.

“[Bannon] put a stop to it—he’s loyal and a friend’s job was in danger and reputation was getting dragged through the mud,” another Trump administration official said, noting that Bannon had acted “decisively” to lobby for one of his ideological and personal allies in the West Wing. Trump then privately assured Gorka that his job was safe for now.
So while Steve Bannon may not be on the National Security Council anymore, he’s still a force for evil in our country. But what do you expect from this president, competence? The Atlantic’s Rosie Gray wrote an piece yesterday highlighting “The Campaign to Rehabilitate Sebastian Gorka” that begins with this Sunday’s appearance by Gorka at the Jerusalem Post’s annual conference.
“I’d like to thank everybody who has stood by me and this administration for the last 15 weeks,” Gorka said. “Specifically, and I apologize in advance if I’ve forgotten you, but the two Davids, Ira, Bruce, Jeff, Mort, Joel, Noah, you know who you are, okay, especially thank you to Rabbi Billet, who wrote this Friday an amazing piece.”

Gorka’s appearance at the conference is part of a concerted effort to defend his image in the Jewish and pro-Israel communities, an effort that is being aided by several sympathetic voices outside the White House. It illuminates the extent to which Gorka has become a flashpoint for bitter intramural battles over who can accuse others, and be accused of, anti-Semitism. Pro-Gorka op-eds have popped up in the Jewish press as well as the conservative media, and Gorka is also speaking to the Christians United for Israel conference this summer. Rabbi Heshie Billet, who presides over a large Orthodox congregation on Long Island, this weekend wrote an essay for Algemeiner entitled : “End The Gorka Calumny.”
Well, that’s terrifying. Classic Bannon.
