After a veteran West Virginia reporter was arrested at the state Capitol Tuesday for tossing questions at Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price about health care, Price lauded the action. CNN reports:
President Trump's health secretary commended police for arresting a West Virginia reporter who shouted questions to him.
"They did what they felt was appropriate," Secretary Tom Price said when he was asked about it at a press conference on Wednesday.
"That gentleman was not in a press conference," he added. "We were walking down a hall, and Capitol Police acted as they thought necessary."
"Not in a press conference??" Is he joking? My, Price has gotten precious now as a Cabinet member. Reporters on Capitol Hill routinely toss questions at members of Congress, which he once was. In fact, reporters often stalk congressional members because it's often the only way to get them on the record on tough topics. By this standard, every single reporter on Capitol Hill would be rounded up and thrown in the brig. Price would probably welcome that.
