New Jersey Congressman, Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11), has been facing mounting pressure from his constituents— and he’s not dealing with it well.
After voting to take away health care from millions of Americans, defund Planned Parenthood, and remove protections for those with pre-existing conditions, he’s refused to even meet with his constituents face-to-face.
Instead, here’s what he told his constituents, who were calling his office to voice their concern about the GOP’s harmful health care bill, during his tela-town hall:
“For people who have jammed our lines...it would be nice for you to back off.”
Now, he’s gone even further. In a shocking letter to a board member of a local bank, a donor of his, he handwrote a note airing his frustration with the grassroots resistance against him that read “P.S. One of the ringleaders works in your bank!”
The targeted employee was then interrogated by her colleagues and has since left her job.
As the new chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Rep. Frelinghuysen is one the most powerful members of Congress. The use of his power to hurt a private citizen while helping himself is appalling, and it’s clearer than ever he needs to go.
Time and again Frelinghuysen has shown an outright lack of respect for his constituents, in part, because he believes his seat is safe in Congress. That’s where you come in.
I’m a former Navy pilot and prosecutor who’s challenging Frelinghuysen to represent New Jersey’s 11th district. I’m running to fight back against Donald Trump and rubber stamps like Frelinghuysen, who backs his dangerous agenda.

There’s no question New Jersey deserves a whole lot better than this bully representing them in Congress. But to turn this district blue, it’s going to take the power and dedication of grassroots supporters like you. I need you on our team — to learn more about why I’m running, click here.
