After sending out McMasters, and anyone else at the White House not curled up in a fetal position at the bottom of a closet, to say the equivalent of —
“Oh, no. The President wouldn’t do anything so boneheaded stupid as sharing highly classified information with the Russians. He knows better than to put our intelligence assets’ lives at risk and damage relationships with our allies. It’s all just another fake story by fake news.”
— the Idiot in Chief hit twitter earlier this morning and, as usual, blew everything up.
At some point today, Republican leadership will express the usual weasel words of dismay while continuing doing nothing. Words are cheap. Putting the country first requires far more.
I don’t care what Republicans say at this point. Show me what they do. If what they are doing allows the Idiot in Chief more time to destroy this nation, then they are complicit.
And just to top it all off, moments ago, Trump went after the Intelligence Community and Former FBI Director Comey yet again, about of all things, leaks! The complete lack of awareness of this man is staggering. He just leaked highly classified intelligence to the Russians, for god’s sake. And yet he’s not upset about that.
Oh no.
He’s upset because we know about it.
Fellow kossack, newjeffct, posted a comment that puts Trump’s sharing of highly classified information with Russia into a vivid historical perspective.
Just imagine this ---while meeting with the Nazi ambassador, FDR bragged that we have a big invasion coming to Normandy scheduled for June 6.
Think that is something we can all use when we call our Senators and Representatives. I just called Senator Susan Collins office and used newjeffct’s analogy. Going to call a few others as well.
You can call Senators and Representatives too.
