I just learned how to store videos, videos I shot two years ago with my Sony Cybershot camera, I just learned how to store those videos on the hard drive of my mini tower computer.
And then, I learned how to erase the videos from the memory card, so I can shoot more videos, with my Sony Cybershot camera.
I need these skills, in order to start posting videos on YouTube.
This is the Itzl Alert Network.
(Itzl is the name of the dog in the picture.)
We publish a diary here every day,
just before midnight.
This group is here for us to check in with each other,
to let people know we are alive,
and doing OK.
Eating dragon fruit while writing this, I realized dragon fruit is so bland, it needs a little salt, just like some folks do with watermelon.
(This was my first time eating dragon fruit.)
Do you agree?
For me, the salt brought out the little bit of sweetness in the fruit.
We welcome every member of IAN to write diaries for the group.
Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say.
If you would like to write a diary, let us know in a comment.
This is our regular schedule:
Monday: Crimson Quillfeather, alternating with ZenTrainer,
Tuesday: ejoanna,
Wednesday: Pam from Calif
Thursday: art ah zen,
Friday: FloridaSNMOM,
Saturday: bigjacbigjacbigjac,
Sunday: loggersbrat
If you'd like to be part of the Itzl Alert Network,
please leave a comment asking to join,
or send us a message asking to join.
We'd love to have you.
The bigger our network,
the less likely someone will be stranded all alone.
Still getting settled in, my wife and I went through all our papers, shredding the excess old papers.
It’s a lot of work, but Tonia did most of the actual sorting, and I just put papers in the literature sorter, where Tonia told me.
Tonia fed the shredder, and I emptied the shredder trash can, and the big trash can.
I truly love moving, for this reason, we use this as a time to cull out the excess junk.
Feels very good.
This is a poem I wrote a few years ago.
I altered it a little, just a few days ago.
We do what we can,
with what we have;
our lives are only that.
We stand, at the end of the day.
We see some respect from a few, our friends;
We smile for a moment,
and then we’re gone.
We came across my paper copy of this poem,
a poem I wrote just a few months ago:
Ask for something
better.
Change the way you
dream.
Every day’s a
fresh new chance to
get your slate wiped clean.
Happiness
is in your power.
Jump into your plans.
Keep your dreams alive; don’t
let them get shit-canned.
Make your plans, start
new each day;
open up your mind: it’s
possible to
question all the
reasons people find to
stop and
take a back seat, when feeling
under pressure.
Verify your place in life,
when you’re feeling lesser.
You are really not required to start a word with
“x.”
Zero is the penalty, if anybody checks.
My two poems about life remind me of this great quote, from Satchel Paige:
Work like you don’t need the money.
Love like you’ve never been hurt.
Dance like nobody’s watching.
Satchel Paige
I am in the middle of a paid vacation. Walmart treats me right, on paid time off.
I get about five weeks per year paid time off vacations.
That gives us time to shred papers, put things away, and give our dog a hair cut and bath.
We have our own little Itzl dog, very similar to the one in the picture.
His name is Rowdy Joe.
He is Chihuahua and Pomeranian.
We need to cut about three inches deep into his fur, and give him a bath.
A few hours ago, we made sauteed onions, ground beef, diced tomatoes, (two cans), and Velveeta style cheese.
We also bought frozen Tombstone five cheese pizza, so our family has choices.
I ate the beef and cheese, and the dragon fruit, with salt.
Tonia and I are feeling good.
Settling in.
Thanks for reading.
Been listening to this song lately.
The more I listen, the more I like it.
Becoming almost fixated on it.
I want to get out my violin, and play all the electric guitar riffs in this song, on my violin.
