My beloved wife Judy hit age 65 this week. She was just diagnosed with the rarest and most aggressive form of uterine cancer: carcinosarcoma. A VERY ugly word! The Internet says the 5-year survival rate is only 30%. But it may have been discovered soon. She has major surgery next Wednesday,
I’ve developed panic-anxiety disorder and have a hard time driving in heavy traffic. But I got some Xanax. Prayers appreciated for both of us, especially Judy!
ON EDIT: Oh! I didn’t explain the title. She and I went tonight to see an 85-year-old Catholic priest who has become her friend. He administered the ritual of the Annointing of the Sick (which used to be called Last Rites). I got to attend, on a breezy porch of the church’s rectory. It was very moving. That means she and I have each received all of the Catholic sacraments save only for Holy Orders.
