Ivanka Trump is still out there, doing interviews, trying to pretend that she can make her father look good. And on the one hand, things are great! James Comey’s Senate testimony left Donald Trump feeling vindicated. But on the other hand, she is disappointed in the world, because people are so vicious. Speaking on Fox & Friends, the de facto first lady/nepotism-hire “senior adviser” had this to say about Comey’s testimony:
“My father felt very vindicated in all the statements that he’s been making, and feels incredibly optimistic,” Ms. Trump, a senior adviser to the president, said in an interview on “Fox and Friends.”
So … your father did not understand the implications of what Comey had to say.
She said she had been blindsided by the vitriol of Washington, and was working to stay out of the fray.
“It is hard, and there is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting,” Ms. Trump said. “I was not expecting the intensity of this experience, but this isn’t supposed to be easy. My father and this administration intends to be transformative, and we want to do big, bold things.”
Have you met your father, Ivanka? Because you want to talk viciousness …
Seriously, the daughter of the man who made his political name by denying the citizenship of the first African American president and then campaigned on imprisoning his political opponent is whining about viciousness in politics? Give me a damn break.
