Income: money received, especially on a regular basis, for work or through investments.
Revenue: income, especially when of a company or organization and of a substantial nature
Income and Revenue are 2 different things. Revenue earned by a club (company) doesn’t become the income of the club (company) owner. Income is what remains after he covers expenses. By Trump & media’s calculation, Warren Buffet will have income of $210 Billion. He didn’t. He had an income of $11.5 Million — 0.005% of the Revenue of Berkshire Hathaway.
Similarly, Trump didn’t make an income of $37.2M from Mar-a-Lago, we don’t know his income from the Club. All we know at this time is that Mar-a-Lago made a revenue of $37.2M. How much income he earned from the Club will not be known until he releases his tax return.
Look at how CNN is covering it:
Trump reported $37.2 million in income in the past year from Mar-a-Lago, the private Florida resort where Trump hosted the president of China and ordered missile strikes against Syria. The club has doubled its membership fee in the past year.
Come on, Media — this isn’t that hard ...
