Delight's puppies 🐶 • 🐶 • 🐶 •🐶 are getting playful.
All four puppies are becoming aware of the world around them. They are just starting to metamorphize from sleeping pooping meatbags into playful puppies. This afternoon they all barked together with their mama earlier this afternoon. The puppers look at me as I walk by their basket for the first time. When I pick them up and hold them, they look right at me, and turn their gaze to focus on me as I move them back and forth.
I have no idea what breed, if any, the papa is. He’s mostly black with longer hair than Delight. He’s about 50% larger than her as well. The neighbor does not want one of the puppies his dog created.
I held all four and three fell asleep but Brunhilda kept walking around my chest and trying to walk up me and off my back so I put them all back down with their mama where they are nursing right now.
All four babee woozles have names now. The firstborn, whom I videorecorded the birth thereof, is Dorcas Delightdotter. The second born is Zorrita Delightdotter. Zorrita has a white mark on her black butt that looks like either a Z or a 2, which works because she was the second born. The next two were born during when I had left the room, so I'm not sure of their birth orders. The only boy is Fenris Delightson, who is named for the Norse Legendary wolf who eats Oden and bites off the hand of Tyr during the mythological end of the world event called Ragnarok. The last girl is Brunhilda Delightdotter, who is the leader of the Valkyrie, the mythological Norse Warrior Women who guard Valhalla.
I named Delight after one of my sixth great grandmothers, 8 generations back. Delight Otis was born in 1708 in Boston, Massachusettes, and died in 1747 after having at least 8 recorded children. I like that name and decided to reuse it with Delight my doggie.
I’m planning on keeping Dorcas Delightdotter in part because I want Delight to have a companion during the times I have to leave her alone such as going to work.
OK, time for photos and videos.
