Exactly two years to the day after officially announcing his run for president (to great fanfare), @realDonaldTrump confirmed that he (himself) is now under investigation.
Throughout the campaign, Trump (and those who serve at his pleasure) repeatedly warned Americans about the dangers of electing someone under investigation—and it turns out they were right!
As the investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, and Trump's efforts to obstruct those investigations, have heated up, Trump has become increasingly unbalanced—and it's not like he was all that balanced to begin with.
With each passing day, Trump's obsessive (and potentially illegal) behavior brings the nation closer to a constitutional crisis, and he doesn't really seem to care.
In fact, things have gotten so bad that not only has Trump's vice president retained his own legal counsel, so too has his personal lawyer.
At this rate, if the shit that Trump now finds himself in gets any deeper, he might soon need his beloved coal miners to help dig him out.

Ivanka Trump was shocked—shocked!—to find that Washington is such a vicious place.
"There is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting," the first daughter said during an interview on "Fox & Friends" when asked whether it is harder than she thought to focus on the things she wants to do.
"I was not expecting the intensity of this experience, but this isn't supposed to be easy."
Trump said her father and his administration "intends to be transformative."
"And we want to do big, bold things and we're looking to change the status quo," she said.
"So I didn't expect it to be easy. I think some of the distractions and some of the ferocity was, I was a little blindsided by at a personal level."
And, speaking of viciousness...
A Missouri lawmaker beheaded a live chicken to make a point about abortion... or something.
He's compared abortion to the Holocaust. He's filed a bill to recognize an embryo as a person. He's proposed an exhibit of abortion tools next to the slavery exhibit in his state's capitol building.
Now one Missouri lawmaker is back in the news for a Facebook Live video in which he beheads a chicken and rips its heart out -- to announce his latest abortion bill.
In the video, Missouri State Representative Mike Moon cuts off the chicken's head and guts the animal on camera as he talks about going back for a special legislative session for the "primary purpose of supporting life."
Standing above the chicken covered in blood, Moon reaches inside the headless fowl, pulls out its heart and says, "I think we need to get the heart of the matter here. So today, I'm filing a bill that will lead to the stopping of abortion in the state of Missouri, and I hope you'll support it."
The prosecution rests.
