It’s Wednesday, time for woozles, and I thought I’d also throw some wild woozles into the mix. It’s also the first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere! So I googled Wolves in Summer, and the above was one of the first pics. They don’t look all that wolfy to me. But they do look hot, appropriate for this crazy June, when temps almost everywhere in the U.S. have hit the 90s, and California and eastward have been in the 100s-110s. Ironically, today is a bit cooler. Still, it’s enough to make a woozle learn to love air conditioning!
But first, the PWB diary rulez:
Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Goggies are dogs, too. Birdeez are birds! Peeps are people. PWB Peeps are Pooties, Woozles, Birdeez People. Neat, huh.
Do not “Troll” the Pootie Peeps Diaries.
Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly.
If you hate animal diaries, leave now. No harm, no foul; these aren’t to everyone’s taste.
You are welcome to share photos of your own animals, or ones you just like.
If you would like a pic from the comment threads, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks!
If you have health/behavior issues with your pootie or woozle, feel free to bring it to the community. We just may have someone whose experience can help.
There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered “out of bounds” and will not be tolerated.
If you’re not sure about an issue...please ask. Someone is always glad to help.

We generally think of the Dog Days of Summer as occurring in August, and maybe those will still be our hottest days — if we have a summer of rising temps to look forward to, it’s going to seem a very long summer indeed! National Geographic says dog days have nothing to do with the heat, but the position of Sirius the dog star, news.nationalgeographic.com/… and I thought, “Srsly?” I still think we oughta call the Dog Days whatever days are too hot for man nor beast.
Not to worry, though, woozles don’t really melt. Our furry friends will still find ways to have fun!
Of course, there’s only one thing to do when you sense a stiff summer breeze…
And finally, some lucky woozles combine breezes and water — riding on boats! The bestest hot summer activity!
And last but not least, stay hydrated!
Happy Beginning of/Dog Days of Summer, and here’s hoping for a long cooling-off period!
