Before they come for me (and they will), to cart me off to an internment camp or re-educational camp, or what ever you want to call it now in civilized 21st Century, a place whose only function is to stop the spread the truth without having ones blood on their hands. ... I wanted to get this out there....
It's not how you die that matters... That's the same, … regardless, ….you're here and then you're not. It's how you live while you are here, that is truly the only important thing to consider when you make all those daily choices required to get through a busy day. Absolutely nothing else matters, and for most of us, it is a sad realization that only comes after we have wasted a majority of our lifetime following what others tell us is in our own best interests.
Despite the current ongoing destruction of our world solely by the hand of America's Conservatives... (There is enough talk about that on this forum already) I want to talk about: living, as in making the most out of these times you are given even right now, as you read this...
You take premade tostadas, the kind already fried up an in a package still smuggled legally across the line where a "wall" may one day be, and put them on a hot “George Foreman” grill. It's important to flip the tostada's when the browning starts; this puts a hot side upward on which you will place the substitute cheese, (non animal). Quickly place it on, otherwise your tostada's cooked like this will have a surprising cold slice of substitute cheese.
At this point, you place the blueberries down in the melting cheese to keep them from rolling off as you later try to eat these tostadas.. (Ewwww.. blueberries you say? Don't think it's insulting, because frankly I thought the exact same thing, until I rationalized it,... I love blueberry cheesecake, so there is precident for mixing blueberries and cheese, and cheese is dairy, so its not too far off from those McDonald's parfaits that are so quick to access and for a bad-dessert on the fly, at least have some redeeming qualities. )
Because you also have a strawberry, cut it and also put it on. Each tostada has roughly 5-8 blueberries, and 2 slices of fresh strawberry. By now (just that quick), the bottom was starting to reach medium brown, so it's time to lift them off as is..
The nuttiness of the corn tortillia adds dessert charm to the dairy and fruit combination on top. YOU taste three predominant flavors... nuttiness, sweet, and pucker up sour... Then there are after-tastes that vibrate between. Blueberries, strawberries, cheddar, roasted corn, and all are accompanied by a solid loud "CRUNCH" which augments the whole experiment.
They are light on fats.. just the natural oils in the tort and cheese. They are light on sodium... just whatever sodium exists in the corn tort, cheese, and fruit. They are high on antioxidants... Your body will thank you...
And for brief moments, you have truly lived...
So keep doing what you are doing to help the Resistance. Every human being matters in this fight, especially you. But don't forget to live while you are doing so... Live, and love, and live and love... Whether we win or they, (history is often very unkind), you will have no regrets when your term on this great planet.... ends.
