When I was a young BFSkinner I was a yuge reader.. reading whatever I could get my hands on. From Aesop’s Fables to the Hardy Boys and the Bobsey Twins to A Wrinkle in Time I could not get my hands on enough books.
I remember, though the one author I was eager to read everything that he wrote was Piers Anthony
I am sure you remember his name from childhood….
I read every book that was in the Xanth series when I was younger, I regret only not keeping up with the series as I’ve gotten older. I have read up to 25 of the 43 books written.
For me it similar to being addicted to Harry Potter, in its day.
I would see when the next book was coming out in the series and...gasp...buy it in hardcover with my *own* money… a pretty penny back then.
I also got into his Incarnations of Immortality series, having read four of the eight in the series… again I wish I had continued reading as I got older.
If you love puns, ewe don’t know what you’re missing by knot reading Piers Anthony.
So, who was your favorite childhood author?
