Yeah, I’m pretty emotional right now. Like a lot of folks here.
But I can’t express my thoughts and feelings properly, because they aren’t “respectful.” They aren’t “civil.” Point of fact, if I put into words my response to Republican senators to their actions tonight, I will be banned from posting on this website.
Here, we do not allow personal attacks. We do not permit threats of harm.
So I can’t say to my political opponents what they are saying to me tonight:
“I don’t care if you die."
“I deserve to live; you do not."
“Your life means nothing to me. That I must think of it at all only pisses me off."
Two years ago, for the first time ever, I got health insurance. Since being able to afford medical care, I have had an active cancerous tumor removed and pre-cancerous growths detected and eliminated. The Affordable Care Act or, as I like to call it, the Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats Gave Half a Rat’s Ass if I Live or Die Act, has saved my life.
Tonight, Republicans, including my own senators, are telling me, clearly,
“We really wish you would have died instead."
And, because I post on a Democratic website with standards of decency in political debate, I am prevented from saying,
“Back atcha, you murderous ghouls."
So I can only ask my fellow citizens and voters here:
Can we at least kill their careers?
