Well this is good news.
Senate Republicans are committed to blocking President Trump from bypassing the confirmation process and replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with a recess appointment.
Indeed, as one Senate Republican explained to the Washington Examiner on Thursday, Senate Republicans made a collective decision in January to prevent Trump from making any recess appointment to his administration. That means the president is foreclosed from sidestepping Senate confirmation and replacing Sessions unilaterally during Congress' upcoming August recess.

This makes sense. The last thing Republicans want is to have the burden of this investigation put back on them. And we have this from Lindsay Graham
"If Jeff Session is fired," Graham said. "There will be holy hell to pay. Any effort to go after Mueller could be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency."
So far this has been the loudest barks I have heard from congressional Republicans. Will they bite if Trump makes the decision to completely Abuse his power?? Got me on that one. I do get a sense that Trump has reached his limit among his base. If the AG was somebody they disliked they would be making all kinds of cases to go ahead and ouster but it’s not...it’s Jeff Sessions. This is putting on full display that Trump only cares about Trump. Which is something that is blatantly obvious to anybody not under the Trump SPELL. Either way I am getting a feeling that Mueller is off limits right now, Trump is absolutely nothing without congressional Republicans. This whole situation is absurd. I could not think of a better classic textbook description of Obstruction of Justice than this whole situation.
