Legislators are failing in their attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and as long as they continue to fail in these efforts Obamacare is the constitutionally legal law of the land, which somehow Trump fails to recognize his role in. He was asleep during his swearing in, the part where he swore to uphold the constitution.
Perhaps the trumpster can suggest to congress that they should repeal Obamacare so that he doesn't have to pay the government shared commitment to insurance companies, oh wait, they tried that, Lol
The Donald does not get to write the checks, set the budget, undermine and sabotage the laws of our land. In actuality his tweets mean next to nothing, but unfortunately they are taken seriously by too many people. Fortunately our generals and the Secretary of defense don’t take them as seriously, recently smacking the Tweetmeister down on his Tweedict that he had decided that gays would no longer be allowed in the military service. They correctly pointed out that there would be no actions taken on this proclamation until it came down through proper channels (which will never happen).
I may be mistaken, but it is my understanding that the ACA, which includes the part where there is a commitment to subsidize insurance companies, is law, and it is treasonous for Trump to even be talking about taking personal actions to illegally derail the ACA.
This is yet another facet of a theme I have been hitting on repeatedly, Dems are not protecting the constitution, they are not holding a torch to republican’s feet when they fail to uphold the constitution, when they use illegal means to undermine and sabotage legal constitutional laws.
Theoretically all Trump can do is suggest or push the GOP to pass legislation that accomplishes his goals, and unfortunately for Trump their hands are tied.
It is Trump’s alternative facts premise that Obamacare is and was failing anyway, when in fact it has been undermined and sabotaged from the start, and now that we have an idiot president making stupid threats that concern the insurance industry it is manifesting failures resulting from obstruction.
