During his election campaign, one of Trump’s main criticism against Hillary was the email scandal. He tried his best make an issue out of it, saying she put the country’s security at risk.
But Trump’s own department is worse with IT security. As per a report by CNN, a British email prankster pretending to be Jared Kushner, fooled many White House officials including a high ranking cyber security expert.
The man sent the following mail to Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert:
"Tom, we are arranging a bit of a soirée towards the end of August. It would be great if you could make it, I promise food of at least comparable quality to that which we ate in Iraq. Should be a great evening."
Bossert thought the mail was genuine and replied to it:
"Thanks, Jared. With a promise like that, I can't refuse. Also, if you ever need it, my personal email is ….."
This means the Security Advisor handed out his personal email ID to an unknown person.
The email prankster shared the emails with CNN and said he was surprised that the cyber expert responded to his email and gave his personal email ID despite being an expert in the field.
Bossert refused to comment on the incident.
