Welcome to the Street Prophets Coffee Hour. This is an open thread where we can share our thoughts and comments about the day. Our starter topic today is custom cars.
Ever since mass produced cars have been sold to the general public, there have car owners who have sought to make their cars unique by modifying the paint, the body, the engine, and/or the interior. I should point out that I have never customized a car, owned a customized car, or even wanted a customized car. I do, however, appreciate customized cars as works of art.
Shown below are some of the customized cars I encountered at the World of Speed, an automotive museum in Wilsonville, Oregon.
1959 Kennedy Special
1972 Chevy Rally Nova
1963 Ford Galaxie Custom
1935 Wayne Mahaffey Ford Phaeton
1921 Thumper Roadster
