The New England Holocaust Memorial was vandalized Monday for the second time since June. Boston police arrested a 17-year-old male suspect on Monday evening after being told by witnesses that he had thrown a rock, smashing one of the 132 glass panels, depicting millions of the numbers tattooed onto victims of the Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust. Shortly after the incident the Anne Frank Center tweeted this to Donald Trump:
If this is what it feels like to win and put America First, I shudder to think what it would feel like if we were losing and America was being put last by the Current Occupant.
The evidence is mounting up pretty quickly. It can’t all be coincidental that the Southern Poverty Law Center began recording an exponential increase in hate crimes after Donald Trump was elected, ProPublica also reported last December that the hate crime stories they followed had increased substantially as well. The election of Donald Trump let some evil genie out of a bottle and all the malcontents and losers feel free to misdirect their angst against innocent people and public property, just like the bad old days.
What’s even worse, is that the Current Occupant, unlike presidents of both parties in the past, has no concept of how to address the American people in a conciliatory fashion and bring people together, to lick our common wounds. When he speaks all he does is spew divisiveness and discord.
The Anne Frank Center is the one “telling it like it is” Mr. Trump. Not you.
