On a day when you find yourself missing Nixon and feeling some solidarity with TED CRUZ (I know right?) and have fond memories of Dubya for pity’s sake, we see this:

Good. I’m actually pleasantly surprised.
Of course her Twitter thread features some comments that we could live without including, of course, one claiming that Obama organized the march and others, like FOX and You Know Who The Orange Person blaming “both sides,” but oh well. Nothing is perfect and meanwhile I’ll take Sarah Palin at her word here.
I’ll be a lot happier if and when Congress stands together and defends our Union.
Attached is a lovely story about the candlelit vigil in Charlottesville — what a stark contrast to the ranting torchlit Nazi parade. And what a tragedy that we’re honoring the loss of a beautiful young woman, Heather Heyer, who is now a martyr to the cause of our beautiful country.
