A glorious white giraffe appeared to me in a magical dream last night. I was running from something, it was dark and cloudy and I had no idea where I was going or what I was running from. I was close to the ground, moving through bushes and came into a clearing where this magnificent creature was grazing. All I remember is that upon seeing the giraffe all the terror disappeared from my chest and a huge sense of calm and safety cocooned me.
I didn’t know there was such a thing as a white giraffe but when I took to the computer this morning to research what this might symbolize, I came across an article in yesterday’s Guardian about two white giraffes recently sighted in Kenya. A mother and her child, afflicted by a genetic mutation known as leucism, which interferes with pigmentation.
The recent sighting is only the third recorded sighting of white giraffes.
There isn’t any information about what dreaming about a white giraffe symbolizes (While dreaming about white is often a good sign, if what you are dreaming about is not usually white, it can signify misfortune ) but there are several interpretations of what dreaming about a giraffe might mean:
- Right now you are not able to reach your goals
- You’re looking for a change in your life
- You are sticking your neck out for someone else
- Be patient and seek out the finest things in life
- Trust your instincts and rise above the crowd
- Being able to see both sides of an issue
To dream that you are riding a giraffe, represents your desire to stand up amongst the crowd. You want attention, but aren't getting it.
To dream that a giraffe is running implies that you are avoiding the truth. It also suggests that you saw something that you shouldn't have seen www.dreammoods.com/...
